What You’ll Do:

As a Civil Superintendent (Marine Works), you will play a key supervisory role in managing the construction of critical marine infrastructure components reporting directly into the Project Manager. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supervising the construction of timber crib wharves, including fabrication, placement, and ballasting.
  • Managing dredging and mattress placement activities to ensure compliance with project timelines and specifications.
  • Coordinating rock importing, barging, and offloading operations.
  • Overseeing topside work, including concrete deck installation, cope wall construction, wheel guard installation, along with bollard and fender installation.
  • Collaborating with geotechnical and marine engineers to assess dredging progress, sediment disposal, and site conditions for optimal project execution.
  • Coordinating rock importing, barging, and offloading operations.
  • Providing leadership and direction to construction crews, organizing and overseeing daily activities.
  • Interpreting construction drawings and implementing proper construction techniques.
  • Managing resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, while overseeing potential subcontractors.
  • Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
  • Monitoring project status and schedules, ensuring alignment with engineering requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality assurance protocols.

What We're Looking For:

We’re excited to meet candidates who have:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in marine construction.
  • At least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role within the marine construction industry.
  • Extensive experience overseeing dredging operations, including dredge material handling, sediment management, and compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of dredging techniques, equipment selection, and optimizing production efficiency for marine excavation projects.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate diverse construction teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A track record of delivering successful marine projects on time and within budget.
  • Ability to work in remote locations and adapt to rotational work schedules.

  • This is a significant marine project with an estimated duration of 2+ years, offering stability and long-term career opportunities.
  • Candidates must be willing to work extended schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Travel away from home is required; competitive living-out allowances will be provided.
