What You’ll Do:
As a Document Controller, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and organization of project documentation across all phases of our heavy civil construction projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Administering and overseeing document control systems to ensure accurate registration, classification, distribution, and retrieval of project documentation.
- Managing transmittals, submittals, RFIs, as-builts, drawings, inspection reports, and client communications in accordance with document control procedures.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, field teams, subcontractors, and clients to meet documentation and compliance requirements.
- Ensuring document version control and maintaining audit-ready files in both physical and digital formats.
- Coordinating with the QA/QC team to ensure documentation supports compliance with project quality standards.
- Assisting with administrative support tasks such as meeting coordination, project reporting, and database maintenance.
- Supporting closeout documentation preparation and handover packages to clients.
- Maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive employee or project-related records.
What We're Looking For:
We’re excited to meet candidates who have:
- Diploma in Executive/Office/Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of document control experience, ideally within the construction or heavy civil industry.
- Strong proficiency in document management software (e.g., Aconex, Procore, Bluebeam, Adobe Pro, Visio, Microsoft Excel).
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.
