Pennecon Industrial is currently completing Mechanical and Electrical Installations in Labrador City and we are seeking individuals who are qualified and interested in joining our team in the role of:

Role: Mechanical Superintendent
Location: Labrador City, NL

Will be responsible for the following:

  • Work in the field and will be responsible to support the Company’s safety, quality and environmental programs in the execution of mechanical work scopes;
  • Develop and maintain positive client and employee relations;
  • Interpret construction drawings and implement proper construction techniques;
  • Control and monitor project status and schedules;
  • Ensure conformance with applicable engineering requirements;
  • Scheduling of resources, including labour and equipment. 
  • You will be required to work in the field and be responsible to demonstrate superior safety behaviours in the execution of the work and support the Company’s safety, quality and environment programs. 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least fifteen (15) years of relevant work experience, as well as a Journeyperson Certificate in an accepted field, such as Steam-fitting, Pipefitting, Iron Work, or an acceptable combination of experience and education;
  • Relevant work experience includes installation of mechanical equipment such as pumps, fans, motors and piping systems as well as Supervision of a crew of at least thirty (30) craft;
  • The candidate selected will be a leader in their field and passionate about completing their work in a safe, and high-quality manner;
  • They will also have excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and have a working knowledge of computer applications such as the Microsoft Office package;
  • A high-energy, goal-oriented individual.

Project Information:

  • Scheduled work rotation: two weeks on, two weeks off.
  • Flights will be provided by the Company.
  • This position will be set up within a camp environment.
  • Anticipated duration: 12 Months, with options to extend dependent on further scopes
