Pennecon Industrial is currently completing Mechanical and Electrical construction work on current and future projects, and we are seeking individuals who are qualified and interested in joining our team in the role of:

Role: Proposal Writer
Location: Paradise, NL  

Reporting to the Estimating and Proposal Lead, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Proposal Lead / Writer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the proposal development process, ensuring the timely submission of high-quality bid packages to potential clients. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of construction industry technicalities and the ability to translate complex information into compelling proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and subject matter experts to gather information and develop proposal strategies;
• Lead the development and writing of detailed proposal content, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with client requirements;
• Create visually appealing bid packages by incorporating graphics, charts, and other elements to enhance readability and professionalism;
• Manage proposal schedules and deadlines to ensure timely submissions;
• Review and edit proposal drafts for consistency, completeness, and compliance with RFP/RFQ requirements;
• Coordinate with subcontractors and partners to gather necessary proposal components;
• Continuously improve proposal processes and templates to enhance efficiency and quality.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Diploma in Engineering Technology, or related field, preferably in an electrical or mechanical engineering discipline;
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in proposal development within the industrial construction or related industry;
• PMP would be an asset;
• Strong technical writing skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and persuasively;
• Proficiency in MS Office suite, Adobe Creative Suite (or similar software) for document layout and graphics;
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously;
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across departments;
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables.
