Role: Service Manager
Location: Paradise, NL  

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Service Manager to lead our Hydraulic Systems Service Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with hydraulic and mechanical systems and their electronic components. This role requires excellent technical skills, the ability to manage and mentor technicians, and exceptional organizational abilities to maintain and improve our industrial shop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the hydraulic systems shop;
  • Oversee a team of technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and support;
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are organized, maintained, and readily available for use;
  • Manage hands-on work with hydraulic and mechanical systems and related electronic components;
  • Develop and implement best practices for shop efficiency and safety;
  • Assess scopes of work as provided by clients for both shop-based work and site-based work. Develop quotations with assistance of other staff for submission to client;
  • Collaborate with other departments and personnel to ensure seamless workflow and project completion;
  • Monitor and report on shop performance metrics and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Travel to job sites will be required.

Qualifications:

  • Hydraulic Mechanic/Technician, Electronics Technician/Technologist, Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic/Technician, or an acceptable combination of education and experience;
  • Extensive experience working with hydraulic and mechanical systems and their electronic components.
  • Proven leadership and management skills in an industrial shop environment.
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency with relevant tools and equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to mentor and develop technicians, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
